Kelly Jo Schmidt

Kelly Jo came to Illustrated Properties with over 24 years of experience with the Walt Disney Company. Her roots go back to Zionsville, Indiana where she was raised with midwestern values, a strong work ethic and, of course, a cornfield in her backyard. 

Her Disney career began with a “Management, Disney Style” internship, which she completed with the honor of a “Ductorate Degree”.   It was here where she first learned Disney’s comprehensive approach to leadership, culture, customer experience, brand loyalty, and innovation which became the foundation for her career.

After graduating college with a Bachelor of Science from Ball State University, Kelly Jo was recruited full time by the Disney Company and migrated south permanently.  She spent the next 21 years as a real estate agent selling the Disney Vacation Club, producing in excess of $250M.  The groundwork for her accomplishments began with outstanding customer service and relationship building skills.  She built upon this with personal dedication, loyalty and integrity which lead her to become an exceptional leader in her business.  Throughout her tenure she achieved hundreds of sales awards and honors.  Kelly Jo was personally recognized by Disney’s CEO Michael Eisner for achieving Disney’s highest honor for sales; appropriately named “Leadership Circle”.
